I just had a call from the housing team who help disabled people maximise income and minimise outgoings when they move house and told the guy all about Dad La Soul in Brighton.

He was REALLY impressed with the idea; he doesn't have kids but said he could imagine how hard it is for men to make friends once fathers, and what a great idea it is!

Every man I explain it to says, 'Wow, I didn't think about that, but what a wonderful idea.' So well done & thank you, Dad La Soul.

Plus, X is the space where I first got to really know the Dad La Soul community, so it holds dearly to me and my son.

The venue and staff welcomed me and my son with open arms, and straight away, it felt like an extension of home with its facilities, warmth and space.

Great accessibility means it’s a breeze to visit with a toddler. Love it.

Having a venue like Plus X not only means that we can open up playdates to a larger number of dads and their kids in Brighton, but as a volunteer, I feel spoilt by the modern facilities and space I have when running the arts and crafts area as well as knowing my son is having an amazing time.

The layout modern venue helps spread our message and separates us from the village hall brigade. The support that Plus X offers in the form of space and equipment is invaluable, as are the amazing support team, who are always incredibly helpful and endlessly patient.

Coming to Plus X has been a fantastic opportunity for dads & across the Brighton & Hove area.

We have seen so many people come to the Dad La Soul fold through the PlusX venue & each time, and we are proud to use such a modern and exciting venue.

My little one loves being able to use the space because it is bright & airy, and she is so excited when she gets to see her new friends each month, and PlusX has assisted being able to provide that opportunity.

I started to get asked about Dad La Soul when I wear my t-shirt or jumper with pride when I take my little girl out half the time. Sorry for the sappy rant, but this group is amazing.
