Over the coming months, a series of six powerful exhibitions highlighting the rich history and contemporary culture of Chicago’s Native American communities is on view as part of #ArtDesignChicago. We're proud to be hosting Andrea Carlson's exhibition at the MCA! For more information, visit . Developed by and in close collaboration with Indigenous artists, historians, and community members, these exhibitions center and uphold the agency of Native artists to position their own work and determine how their stories are told. Much of the exhibited artwork is reflective of the artists’ lived experiences and serves to realize the possibilities of a thriving Native future. By building long-term partnerships with Native artists and communities, these exhibiting organizations seek to amplify their voices and build deeper understandings of Indigeneity in Chicago.
